The Shepherd’s Rest is now owned by Roy & Janet sefton. They took over in February 2005, and have since succeeded in making “The Shepherd’s’ one of the busiest food establishment in the region. They had previously run pubs (and made their mark!) in both their home city of Manchester more recently in Cheshire. This is their first venture into a food venue and they seem to have found their niche.
Having recently refurbished the Langfields suite, there isn’t a taste they don’t cater for. Families are welcomed into the Gallery restaurant, with the children’s play area just oustide the door. Anyone with dogs, or who just wants a few pints after work are wlecomed into the cosy bar area with roaring fires in winter, there is adequate space in here to eat too. And the child free Langfields is perfect for an evening with friends or an intimate dinner.
